The ISPO Global Educators Meeting (GEM) Working Group is pleased to open the Call for Abstracts & Symposia for the 2026 GEM meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, at Mahidol University.

Call for Abstract
We invite P&O educators to submit abstracts related to prosthetic and orthotic education which highlight our theme. There is no requirement to cover all three terms in the theme, but we do hope your submission addresses a minimum of one of these.Â

Here are some topic areas to consider based upon feedback from our previous conference attendees:
- program sustainability;
- teaching and assessment methods;
- clinical education and internships;
- and accreditation.
Though, the organizing committee welcomes any topic area as long as its intended target audience is P&O educators.
Abstracts must be submitted to the online portal by October 15, 2025.
Call for Symposia
We invite P&O educators to submit proposals for symposia related to orthotic and prosthetic education which highlight our theme. Symposia are typically greater in length and more flexible in structure than free papers. Presenters in symposia are typically topic experts either collectively discussing, or individually contributing to a wider topic involving all speakers. These sessions can include the presentation of specific projects, but can also involve the participation of the audience.
The programme committee of the GEM is open to suggestions of structure and content in proposals and encourages submissions to be creative in the execution of these sessions. We welcome submissions from a broad spectrum of topics, as long as this can be related to and useful for P&O educators and is potentially linked to the theme of the GEM.
The allotted time for symposia will be 60 minutes. Competitive entries will include a minimum of 4 speakers and link multiple themes of the GEM.
